Coursename: ÖRYG06RörapaEN
The course provides the rights to install, dismantle and use of tube and clamp scaffolds based on the requirements in the curriculum for the Tube and clamp Scaffolding from 2020 and Regulation from 2018.
The course is both theoretical and practical. The course briefly introduces the Occupational Safety and Health Act and reviews the main regulations related to fall protection. The requirements in the Tube and clamp Scaffolding Regulation No. 729 from 2018 are taught in detail. And we follow the curriculum from 2020 precisely.
The preparation of a written safety and health plan is introduced and how to make such a plan for work at height will be reviewed. A safety and health plan on a construction site is briefly introduced.
All other fall protection devices other than Tube and clamp scaffolds are also introduced, such as wooden scaffolding, ladders and steps, boom cranes (spear), scissor lifts, suspended platforms, telehandlers with CE marked man basket, forklifts with man baskets, cranes with man baskets, CE marked crane man baskets and other lifts made to lift people.
The last part of the theoretical course deals with fall arrest systems, safety harness and lines. Risk assessment, calculation of safety distances, anchor points, fall arresters and an emergency plan that must be in place before work in a safety harness and line begins.
At the end of the theoretical part of the course, students take a written multiple-choice exam that they must pass.
In the practical part, the students are divided into two groups. While half of the group sets up and takes down a Tube and clamp scaffold, the other half goes through a practical lesson on safety harnesses and lines. Everyone puts on a harness and tries to hang from the equipment on both the rear and front attachments of the harness. Then people practice taking an unconscious person, who is hanging by a belt and line, down and placing him in the correct position.
